Cyber Security Consultant

SECTA5 is an early-stage, fast-growing and pre-seed funded cybersecurity startup that is looking for technical talent to join us in shaping the future of cybersecurity.

Cyber security data is disjointed and noisy and we’re here to change it. We are building a Unified Attack Surface Management (UASM) platform, and our mission is to help organisations pre-emptively prevent security breaches by offering them a single source of truth amongst a sea of noise.
- You will be part an early-stage startup, with a healthy runway, and an even more ambitious growth plan, and will be involved in building the company’s foundations
- Cyber attackers do not pigeonhole their TTPs, and neither should your skillset: The role expects the individual to be ready and willing to learn across **all** cybersecurity disciplines, and not just the OWASP Top 10
- We’re breaking siloes in cyber and are structured the same - as a cyber security consultant, your experiences are invaluable, and you will be highly encouraged to shape the software development of our Unified Attack Surface Management platform.

**Minimum Requirements**
- This is a technical mid-entry-level opening ideally for an existing offensive security consultant or analyst with at least 1 to 2 years of experience within the industry.
- Hold industry-recognised qualifications: mínimally CREST CRT/OSCP and above
- You’ve scripted before, in Python or otherwise, to automate a security workflow
- You’ve been involved in penetration tests and red teams, or have broad, technical awareness of how cyber defence tech stacks such as firewalls, EDRs and sandboxes all work together end-to-end to stop cyber attacks
- You have an innate mischievous streak, you like to know how things break, and how they can be pieced together again. We’re willing to teach, but you’re even more hungry to learn
- Self-driven - picture this, you’re given the MITRE ATT&Ck framework, an EDR, and an objective to test its efficacy. You start figuring out what to do next and you see it through (or you’ll clarify anyway).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical concepts to team members and stakeholders

**Salary**: $6,000.00 - $7,500.00 per month
