**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct risk-return profiles on the trading portfolio. Additional responsibilities include regular risk reports, updates on attribution analysis and presentations for senior management. This role will also be involved in UAT for risk and performance systems and perform scenario analysis on various portfolios.
- Evaluate daily trading and investment activities, including mark to market and the analysis for market risk capital usage and exposures
- Manage the firm's risk exposures and monitor the value at risk (VaR) across various strategies
- Create and translate financial and risk metrics and portfolio trends into actionable insights that improve decision making, performance and business growth in a business
- Integrate disparate sources of data using a broad range of analytical data tools and knowledge of statistical methodology and predictive modelling techniques, including exploring new market instruments/technology to see if adoption will be beneficial to the business.
- Design and implement policies and procedures for effective risk measurement and monitoring, including performance of stress tests, stop-loss monitoring; periodic and regular reporting as well as escalation of threshold breaches to the Board, management and/or Investment Committee, as applicable;
- Keeping abreast of key economic, industry and sector trends and developments. Be alert to significant market movement or material events and provide timely analysis and recommended actions.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to identify limitations in the existing risk frameworks and recommend remediations to senior management and various committees.
- Manage ad hoc projects whenever required

**Job Requirements**
- Ideally someone with at least 10 years of experience in market risk management/quantitative analysis in a financial institution or in a consulting capacity. Ideally, you will have a blended background which will include a skillset of quantitative analysis, programming (VBA, Python, SQL), and risk management. Proficiency in multi-factor risk models (e.g. Barra).
- Min degree holder in Finance, Applied Finance, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics, Business Administration or related discipline. Higher tertiary qualifications will be an added advantage
- Sound knowledge/experience in trading, market risk methodologies, securities and derivatives valuations and methodologies
- Hands on and technically strong in implementing new Risk frameworks
- Understanding of statistical and risk concepts and the analysis of excel based financial models
- Self-motivated and proactive, can work independently as well as work cohesively with other stakeholders
- Strong communication and written ability, with an excellent stakeholder management skills
- Possess good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
