JR27366 Staff Engineer, CAD & Sim Solutions

As a Non-Volatile Engineering (NVE) Product Engineer (PE) working in the CAD and Sim Solutions team at Micron Technology, Inc., you are part of a team responsible for providing CAD and Simulation support in the NVE Product Engineering Teams. This role includes developing and supporting custom tools focused on critical Design, Physical Verification, Simulation and Tapeout Automation. You will own the Product Engineering Environment setup and support. You will partner with PE, Quality, Technology Development, Mask Technology and Design Engineering teams to build new functionality and improve speed of learning with a passion for continuous improvement. You will drive Standardization and Automation across multi-functional teams. As an expert in these areas, you will also be responsible for training new hires and presenting updates and changes to the tools and flows you develop.

**Job Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for development of custom GUIs and scripts to support Product Engineering focused on Design, Physical Verification, Simulation enablement and improvements
- Experience with database management methods and version control techniques.
- Experience with programming fundamentals, as well as exposure to various programming languages including: Skill/Skill++ (Cadence), Perl, Python, PyQt
- Develop and support toolsets to support Custom Product Engineering Verification Flows and Regressions.
- Develop, Run, Debug and Report Electrical Validation for Reliability for all Designs.
- Thorough understanding of Verilog and SPICE simulations ( electrical verifications )
- Good understanding of EDA tools and flows, develop and support scripts and other programming utilities used in physical verification and tapeout to support product quality
- Understand design layout and processes of mask development
- Develop code to perform algorithmic data extraction, processing, and analysis
- Work independently, develop, and adhere to best known coding practices
- Collaborate with engineers across the organization

**Skills Required**:4+ Years in CAD Development**:

- Good understanding of Cadence and Virtuoso Design Environment
- In-depth experience with Programming languages like Python, Perl
- Experience with Unix and shell scripting is required
- Familiarity with Physical Verification tools used in DRC/LVS/ERC checks
- Experience with web-based programming
- In depth experience in Design Simulation Tools - Verilog, Hspice, FineSim, XA
