Special Operations Command (SOC) is the lead tactical arm of SPF to provide highest level of tactical option to combat crime, terrorism and public disorder. We seek to constantly explore, innovate and adapt cutting-edge technology to support our officers to enhance policing efforts for crime fighting. As a Clerical Officer (Finance) in SOC, you get to monitor financial expenditure, perform journal adjustments, timely processing of payments and claims with the use of relevant financial systems (NFS & iLMS) that ensure SOC meet the budgetary demands to execute the procurement required to manage operations at all levels. You will play a significant role to ensure SOC comply with payment terms, which implicate the credit ratings of the Singapore government You will become part of the finance fraternity where you get to learn and be au fait with latest finance regulations, accounting processes and directives issued by SPF HQ, MOF/IM and take reference from latest audit reports. You will perform liaison works with various Admin & Finance Departments from MHA, Police HQ and Vital Org. You will be able to provide insights on the financial implications of activities/decisions undertaken and ensure monthly accounts are reconciled timely and adjustments made to reflect accurate expenditure. You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme
**What you will be working on**
- We are looking for a pro-active and dynamic individual to be part of our Admin and Finance Team. You shall be a meticulous person with a sharp eye for number and always plan to ensure smooth workflow in processing documents. With a quick-thinking mind, you learn to identify, flag up and resolve discrepancy when balancing accounts. You shall be self-motivated and uses initiative to improve and streamline work processes to improve work quality. You will ensure effective and efficient execution of various processes within Finance Section. You shall provide services for internal customers by giving prompt and accurate response to requests and enquiries from officers and supervisors. You will assist in reviewing existing procedures and current state of finance records for improvement to tracking and accountability. You shall ensure the compliance of procedures, propose improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity, and shall implement preventive measures to minimise any finance risks.
