**Description**:
They will need to possess a solid technical background, excellent inter-personal skills, attention to detail, project management skills and a proven track record of success.

**Specific tasks will include;**
- Configuring, support and management of the ITRS Geneos platform in a global environment with over 1000 users;
- Defining, encouraging and/or enforcing good monitoring practises across the teams;
- Supporting a large scale ITRS Geneos hosting platform;
- Working with the vendor to resolve issues found with the product;
- Implementing product upgrades throughout the year;
- Creating new tools to support the ITRS Geneos hosting platform, including design, development, testing and implementation.

**Key Requirements**
- Experience in supporting the ITRS Geneos monitoring products running in a large corporate environment;
- Excellent communication skills, methodical and a fine attention to detail;
- Managing changes from Development and UAT into Production;
- Strong understanding of the Linux operating system, specifically RHEL;
- UNIX shell / Perl / Python scripting skills;
- Experience of working within a Site Reliability Engineering role and knowledge of these practices;
- Good knowledge of SQL, specifically MySQL but also other database types.

**Desired Job Skills**
- ITRS Geneos dashboard design;
- Working in a highly pressurized trading environment;
- Experienced in a client facing role in technology;
- Working with source control systems e.g. Bitbucket, GIT;
- Java/AMPS/Kafka/Hadoop experience;
- Configuring/supporting Web servers e.g. Apache;
- Experience with job scheduling tools e.g. Autosys;
- Experience in configuring other industry standard event management tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Splunk etc).
