Are you passionate about coffee, disciplined in your craft, and eager to grow within the specialty coffee industry? Dutch Colony Coffee Co. is looking for a dedicated and quality-driven **Coffee Roaster** to join our growing family.

As a Coffee Roaster, you’ll be entrusted with transforming green coffee into exceptional roasted coffee—batch by batch—with precision, consistency, and care. You’ll work closely with our Coffee Director and Production & Logistics Manager to uphold our quality standards, support production goals, and continually refine our roasting program.

Dutch Colony Coffee Co. is an award-winning specialty coffee company with a state-of-the-art roasting facility. We also operate retail outlets ranging from coffee bars to full kitchen concepts—all built around a commitment to craft, hospitality, and excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Roast coffee with consistency according to pre-established profiles and quality standards
- Monitor, log, and analyze roast data using software (e.g., Cropster)
- Assist in green coffee inventory management and organization
- Conduct and participate in routine cuppings and quality control sessions
- Perform daily and scheduled maintenance on roasting and production equipment
- Support the packaging and fulfillment of roasted coffee and other retail products
- Assist with general production and logistics work as required

**What We're Looking For**:

- At least **1 year of roasting experience** on a Loring S35 or similar commercial roasting machine
- Solid understanding of the roasting process, from green to cup, with a strong emphasis on consistency and quality
- **Previous barista experience** is essential; cupping and sensory skills are a must
- Familiarity with **SCA cupping protocols** and the ability to lead and document quality control sessions
- Strong sense of discipline, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
- Comfortable with system-driven workflows and using digital platforms for reporting and tracking production
- Able to lift and move heavy bags of green coffee (up to 60kg) and stand for long hours
- Possessing a valid Class 3 driving license with a clean record is a bonus
