[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, Eldercare in the School of Humanities & Social Sciences.
**[What you will be working on]**
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Curriculum development, course delivery (both face-to-face and online), and project supervision for youth and adult learners in the following areas:
- Managing Eldercare
- Health & Ageing
- Ageing and Society in Asia
- Elder Person Rehabilitation
- Case Work and Care Planning
- Lifespan Development and Psychology of Aging
- Ageing Families: Multigenerational and Cultural Issues
- Social Policy in Gerontology
- Academic Writing & Presentation
- Workplace Communication
- Lead and identify new opportunities, initiatives and collaborations with the industry, institutes of higher learning & related agencies
- Keep abreast with the latest trends and developments in the areas of special needs, eldercare
- Handle administrative work relating to teaching and assigned projects
- Supervise students during internships
- Be up to date with the latest developments in the eldercare sector, community solutions, care planning
**[What we are looking for]**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Gerontology or equivalent
- Direct experience and a keen interest in eldercare
- An agile team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Project/time management and attention to detail
