[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, Special Needs & Psychology in the School of Humanities & Social Sciences.
**[What you will be working on]**
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Curriculum development, course delivery (both face-to-face and online) and project supervision for youth and adult learners in the following areas:
- Managing Special Needs
- Behaviour Management & Intervention
- Social Psychology
- Abnormal Psychology
- Health Psychology
- Industrial & Organisational Psychology
- Youth Work Management
- Designing Youth Activities & Programmes
- Academic Writing & Presentation
- Workplace Communication
- Lead and identify new opportunities, initiatives and collaborations with the industry, institutes of higher learnings & related agencies
- Keep abreast with latest trends and developments in the areas of special needs
- Handle administrative work relating to teaching and assigned projects
- Supervise students during internships
- Be up to date with the latest developments in the special needs, in the areas of technology, community solutioning
**[What we are looking for]**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or equivalent
- Direct experience and keen interest in special needs
- An agile team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Project/time management and attention to detail
