[What the role is]

This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Facilities Mechanical Engineering in the School of Design & Environment.

**[What you will be working on]**

As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will:

- Prepare and update teaching materials and conduct lectures, tutorials and workshops, including design, deliver, assess and review curriculum for youth and adult learners.
- Set and mark assignments, quizzes, common tests, term projects and examinations related to the module(s) assigned and keep records of student attendance and grades.
- Support student learning and development through student consultations and mentoring.
- Spearhead and identify new opportunities, initiatives and collaborations with local and global companies, and leverage industry relationships to enhance the school’s offerings.
- Participate in research and consultancy projects and curate courses.
- Support evening lessons for Adult Learning programmes where necessary.

**[What we are looking for]**
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in Facilities Management (FM) in the Built Environment sector.
- High level of proficiency in related M&E services, current legislations and professional practice.
- Good IT skills.
- Strong communication skills and have an inherent passion to teach students face-to-face and on online learning environments.- Plan, develop and teach at least three of the following areas:
- Mechanical Facilities
- Fire Safety Management
- Smart Facilities Management
- Building Information Modelling
- Sustainable Building Systems

Additional pre-requisite is advantageous:

- ACTA/ACLP certification
