**What's the Role**
We are looking for a **Director, Facility Management - Global Operations** reporting into the Corporate Director, Procurement & OPC. This role would cover primary responsibilities (include but not limited to) direct oversight of, responsibility for, and management of ASM’s Woodlands Height facility in Singapore and ASM’s Regional Operations Office in Penang, Malaysia.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Acts as a key leader as part of ASM’s Singapore Leadership Team (SLT) representing all facilities related matters, including Corporate and Site sustainability programs.
- Provides strategic, operational, and tactical oversight for the IFMS service provider in on-site team structure, service level attainment, and ongoing voice of the customer feedback.
- Leads the Singapore / Malaysia Facilities Crisis Response Team (CRT) and Facilities Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Team.
- Represents the Singapore Site in all internal and external audit responses and safety / security certifications.
- Oversees all building operations, including repairs, refurbishments, and the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, fire / life safety, plumbing, and waste management systems.
- Evaluates and selects contractors for integrated facilities management services (IFMS), facility projects, and delivery of services not included in the IFMS scope.
- Ensures building operations meet service standards and comply with all local laws and regulations.
- Develops budgets, policies, and procedures to support the functional team’s infrastructure, specifically around best practices in class 10,000 cleanroom management, site security, maintenance, cleanliness, and appearance / aesthetics.
- Develops and monitors budgets and approves contracts to meet current and future needs.
- Responsible for a team of 3 direct reports, 2 Senior Facilities managers and 1 Facilities Specialist.
**Secondary Responsibilities**:
From a ASM Global perspective, the incumbent would take on additional responsibilities such as:
- Acting as the Global Operations Facilities central Point of Contact to the ASM Corporate level Business Continuity Planning Team.
- Provides a structure and framework for standardizing facilities management practices across 4 additional Global Operations facilities.
- Globally, drives a consistent commercial and operational approach, and cost rationalization, for facilities management insource / outsource decisions.
- Acts as the central point of contact for collecting and explaining all Global Operations facilities related spend and CAPEX requirements, and for driving a centralized cost savings program.
**What Will Make You Successful?**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Building & Facility Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in a facilities management related role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 5 years of people management experience in a facilities management environment.
- Experience / direct oversight of a facilities management service provider is preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate successful project management leadership skills.
