**Job Summary**:
The incumbent will be part of a larger team within the Energy & Projects department in providing seamless and customer-focused solutions to support the achievement of business objectives.
**Responsibilities**:
- The Head of Energy & Projects is responsible of leading the ocean & air import/export/operations control within the Operations
- He/She will ensure the most efficient processes are in place to reach high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction
- He/She will interact with the company’s network of international agents to; negotiate rates, define and implement processes and SOP, support the local sales and key account teams by offering advice on pricing/solutions of products/attending commercial review meetings with customers.
- He/She will work closely with Finance on the P/L of the freight margins, optimizing purchases to ensure business sustainability
- Manage operations team with 4 direct reports and indirectly a team of 30 personnel
- Communicate objectives and expectations of the Management
- Co-operate with and lead colleagues to create a positive working environment
- Be proactive in problem solving, serve as the point of escalation for high-level problem
- Be an ambassador for the company
- Work with the sales staff when required on development opportunities
- Monitor and improve quality of service and client satisfaction
- Identify improvement targets, develop and maintain an action plan to implement improvements and monitor the efficiency of the new process
**Business Continuity Management**
- To play the role as key members to support the Crisis Manager in leading their respective departments during a crisis
- Drive the implementation and maintenance of the business continuity program across the organization
- Ensure that Business Continuity program components are current, effective, and address the business requirements
- Support business continuity related initiatives, to include site selection, strategy development, in-house training
**Team Management**
- Ensure and monitor team compliance to the Bollore’s Code of Conduct and Company’s regulations
- Ensure team understanding and implementation on Bollore’s Value in daily work behaviors
- Plan and monitor team performance including give coaching and counselling needed to deliver expected outcomes
- Plan and monitor team development together with HR Division
- Ensure updated Job Description availability for the team by coordinating with HR Division
- Ensure all changes in Department / Section communicated properly to the team
**Job Requirements**:
- University degree in business administration, commerce or other discipline related to various operations and Freight Forwarder
- Ten years’ experience in operations & supervisory experience in air & ocean operations with a Freight Forwarder
- Extended Industry knowledge, ability to handle the process and files from A to Z
- The ability to manage direct reports in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good communicator, confident, articulate, persuasive and credible
- Ability to build strong business relationships with people at all levels of a business
- Strong team player
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple activities successfully
- Ambitious, motivated, strong desire to learn
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently
- Numerical skills, to manage budgets and P/L
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
