**Job Description Summary**: Drives initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function and interfaces with other functions to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Work with end-users and analyze user needs to develop concept, design, test, implementation, debug and commission customized semi and fully automatic machines to improve labor productivity, improve process efficiency, reduce quality defects, improve safety & overcoming repair technical challenges in fast pace production shops.
- Research and develop new ideas and concept to enhance company’s performance and competitiveness in the field of industrial automation and robotics
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and customers to develop work plan, deliverables, required resources, monitor project activities, budget, and timing for new initiatives
- Communicating appropriate information to customer and other stakeholders timely and to achieve desired understanding and results.
- Generate and outline project schedule to keep all stakeholders up-to-date promptly.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Degree in Mechatronics, Computer Science and Engineering
- At least 3 years’ experience in development of robotics (Fanuc/ABB) and design automated systems for production shop floor environment.
- Experience in customized HMI/SCADA systems, robotic, PLC and C++/C#.
- Advanced knowledge of multi-axis motion control systems utilizing VFD’s, PLC’s, and motion control components
- Knowledge of industrial networks and SQL relational database system
- A track record of investigating, prototyping, and delivering new and innovative ideas.

- Interest in robotics and automation and aptitude for making systems work
- Knowledge in Six Sigma & LEAN Manufacturing is advantages.
