The automation robotics engineer will join a highly dynamic and fast-paced team to develop automation systems and solutions for in-house manufacturing processes. The engineer will contribute his skills in the domain of robotics within a team of multi-functional and multi-talented peers in order to deliver innovative and ground-breaking technological advancements, which has the potential of being applied beyond the local context and in Makino group companies in Asia PacificKey Responsibilities: Translate process requirements into an automated process flow involving robots Perform process planning, and design the system according to process requirements Perform robot programming to execute a series of automated tasks Perform AGV programming to complement the robotic processes Troubleshoot and identify limitations in the solution hardware and software, and develop countermeasures for them Perform time study and optimize the processes of the automation system Work closely with software engineer to develop the handshake methodology Integrate and commission the automation system Provide training to internal and external customers Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to meet project objectives Prepare project and development schedule with clear milestones Prepare reports and presentation materials to update work outcomes Opportunity for overseas posting to other Makino group companiesJob Requirements: Diploma/degree in any engineering discipline Specialization in robotics or mechatronics will be a plus Minimum 2 years’ experience with 4-axis or 6-axis robot teaching and programming Experience with vision system Basic level of programming in C/C++/C#/Javascript/Python language Experience in mechanical or electrical design will be a plus Familiarity with machine tools industry will be an added advantage Person with integrity, team player, self-driven and result-oriented
