Provide Application Engineering support for OMRON’s Automation & Robotics Products to our clients and regional project teams.
- Work very closely with internal and external customers to understand their automation needs and provide solutions that use robots and other automation products
- Develop custom robotics solutions and demonstrate at proof-of-concept (POC) level
- Develop, test and execute innovative solutions in the industrial robots front.
- Work along with the product development team, sales team and provide feedback to Product Management on our industrial robots, such as reporting bugs/issues and making suggestions for enhancements.
- Work with team members to integrate new automation & Robotics technology to maintain cutting edge capabilities in our Automation Test Center (ATC).
- Develop Automation guidelines ,training demonstration ,training materials and conduct training for both internal and external customers/partners
- Develop and maintain Technical Competency for the ISS team through organizing proactive Technical training for internal customers (Sales Engineer and Application Engineer), OJTs and Upskilling programs.
- Assist with technical assessment of Channel Partners/System Integrators in collaboration with the Channel Management Team and to maintain a capable and vibrant Partner ecosystem
- Keeping abreast of Omron Automation Technology & Products as well as new technologies
- Represent Omron in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible manner.
- Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical program involving software or electronics
- Proficiency in programming languages (like C#, python)
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience in industrial robot programming and troubleshooting
- Minimum 2 years experience in industrial Automation
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required
- Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, Electrical Circuit Diagrams and instructions and translate them to the customers
- Ability to understand and implement Electrical Circuits
- Demonstrated experience implementing automation systems in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Documented ability of Industrial robot implementation in Factory environments
- Strong analytical and creative problem solving Skills
