**About the job**:
Our Client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual as the General Manager for our operations in the Middle East. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional who possesses a strong background in financial sales within the investment banking sector, as well as expertise in web3 technologies. Entrepreneurial experience and familiarity with mining or commodities will be highly valued.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee all aspects of our operations in the Middle East region, ensuring the achievement of business objectives and targets.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, market penetration, and revenue generation.
- Utilise your extensive knowledge of the investment banking sector, particularly in fund sales, to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Lead and motivate a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to enhance their performance and professional development.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, key stakeholders, and industry partners, acting as the primary point of contact for the region.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies, particularly in the web3 space, to capitalize on opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in blockchain technology, digital transformation, or fintech are highly desirable.
- Proven track record in financial sales within the investment banking sector, with a focus on fund sales.
- Previous experience in leading and managing teams, with the ability to inspire and drive high performance.
- Fluent in English & Chinese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with Middle East clients & colleagues in China.
- Has prior working experience or residency in the Middle East, demonstrating a deep understanding of the local market dynamics.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and experience in starting and running a business will be considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with mining or commodities will be highly advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and the capability to identify project issues, propose innovative solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering cross-functional collaboration and building positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Passion for blockchain technology, digital transformation, and the potential of disruptive technologies to reshape the financial industry.
- Strong understanding of card issuance process, programme management, monetisation and risk management.
