A Research Fellow/ Research Assistant position is currently available in the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Membrane processes modelling and optimization for chemical
- Design and operate fluidized bed crystallizers for resource recovery from wastewater sludge
- Develop, design, and optimize NF/RO processes from laboratory to pilot scale for a chemical company
- Support lab experimentation such as nanofiltration/reverse osmosis filtration, nanofiltration membrane bioreactor process
- Process optimization to validate the developed models
- Perform water analysis with advanced analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC etc
- Perform membrane fouling characterization and membrane autopsy
- Prepare research paper, progress report and presentations
- Supports the development of resource recovery methodology from wastewater sludge

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor degree (for Research Assistant) or PhD degree (for Research Fellow) from a reputable university in chemical/environmental engineering
- Relevant research experience in membrane process design and optimization
- Experience in fluidized bed design and operation
- Relevant research/hands-on experience in membrane experiments
- Experience with Phyton/Matlab
- Oral presentation skill and multitasking skill
- Self-motivated and able to work on your own and in a team
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communication and writing in English is essential for data analysis
- Strong responsibility for research
