**Overview of Job**

**A senior leadership position within Wavemaker APAC to drive the regional partnership with our global CPG client**. Responsibilities include strategic partnership with the regional client leadership for APAC and MENA region to drive the enterprise priorities for our client in the **area of media, digital, data and E-commerce transformation.** The role also involves working closely with Wavemaker Global Client leadership and local market teams on the business to drive strategic alignment and consistency of execution. This leader will represent Wavemaker APAC to all senior stakeholders at the client for all their requirements, and also drive opportunities for future partnership and collaboration. You will be responsible for partnering to create a transformation agenda and strategic vision for the clients’ entire business and overseeing the execution of that vision by bringing in the right capabilities from the WPP ecosystem.

**Client Details**

Global CPG client is a top global client for Wavemaker.
We work with them in 30 markets. This client is also a key client for WPP currently working with Ogilvy, Wunderman Thomson, AKQA, VMLY&R and others.

**Our regional team has three key objectives**:

- Build a strategic relationship with key client stakeholders in the Region and Markets.
- Help existing and potential markets to win/retain/grow business.
- Better connect our markets to share best practice and embrace opportunities.

***Core Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for building and nurturing a strong relationship with senior central clients, being the key point of contact on agreed workstreams and key deliverables, maintaining overall awareness on performance. Position Wavemaker / GroupM as a principal business partner of the client. Be unafraid to push back, be audacious and stand your ground in terms of ideas.
- Understand the challenges and opportunities for the client in order to lead the development of the annual internal Business Growth Plan, working with local markets to cascade and monitor the achievement of the Plan.
- Set and meet annual internal growth targets.
- Work in close collaboration with the client’s Global Leadership team in London to determine and direct key strategic projects.
- Responsible for maintaining an overview of the client’s internal business to be able to provide relevant business updates, including responsibility for the Wavemaker ExCo reports, contributing to the WPP internal client updates and updates across the wider Wavemaker Global Client Leadership community.
- Connect our markets on a regular basis to share and scale best practice, establish common challenges and opportunities and address them in an efficient and effective way.
- Review Vantage and RAM feedback, developing clear action and improvement plans with markets and monitoring the delivery of those plans, providing support where required.
- Provide full support and advice to pitching markets, providing perspective, leveraging internal experts and relevant best practice.
- Work with non-incumbent markets to prepare and implement agreed pre-pitch strategy.
- Build relationships beyond our core clients in order to expand our influence and our revenue.

**Measures of Success**
- 3 months: Assess status, Establish actions_
- Meet your key client stakeholders and stakeholders inside the agency (global, regional and local) to come up to speed quickly with the current work plan on the business and what is immediately required.
- Get to know quickly your team members and establish a regular cadence of communications and team ways of working as well as mentorship and guidance.
- Establish an initial work plan for the coming 9 months to deliver excellence on these clients.
- Recommend an informed, external point of view on the improvements required in ways of working and managing teams and secure the necessary approvals to make this happen.
- 6 months: Deliver brilliant basics_
- Things are working like clockwork. There is smoother workflow, respect of SLAs and on point delivery
- And you have started to build a strong understanding of what might delight both clients and are working to deliver a plan against that.
- Your teams have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities and are functioning well together - motivated to achieve on the business. There is clarity among team members regarding growth paths.
- 12 months: Build a long term plan_
- The intense activity phase on the account has been delivered such that client satisfaction has increased, team morale is high, with by and large adherence to ways of working
- Beyond the brilliant basics you have gone on to have a clear strategic plan on how we delight clients. And you have started to deliver the first “delight” projects.
