**Executive Director, Region Comms & Patient Advocacy**:
Singapore

**About the role**

In this role you would define and drive the regional strategy for internal and executive communications, policy communications and patient advocacy as the strategic business partner to the region head and as a member of the regional leadership team. You would also drive talent and country comms and patient advocacy performance in alignment with the Corporate Affairs and Enterprise strategy.
Key responsibilities:

- Implement strategic roadmap for patient advocacy at region level partnering with Public Affairs/Policy teams on environment shaping initiatives. Monitor & inform the relevant Global and Regional partners on patient driven Public Affairs and policy trends. Find opportunities of engagement with PAG and external collaboration to amplify Novartis commitment to patients and shape the healthcare environment.
- Drive regional policy comms in partnership with Public Affairs/Policy teams to help deliver company's policy goals. Provide strategic leadership to the Policy and Public Affairs team on comms aspects to craft impactful messaging and narratives and implement successful earned and paid media tactics. Support advocacy efforts by providing communication expertise for policy initiatives and campaigns.
- Development and implementation of region internal and exec comms strategy in alignment with region agenda, CA and enterprise strategy.
- Lead all aspects of media relations strategy and implementation at region level in coordination with Corporate Media Relations.
- Coach and guide Communications & Patient Advocacy Country Heads to deliver strategic Communications & Patient Advocacy work in alignment with CA and enterprise strategy.
- Ensure systematic implementation of CA function A&I framework across in alignment with Corporate Affairs Strategy & Operations.
- Focus on enabling and managing above TA/brand performance of top-11 communications and patient advocacy teams and support International team with TA/product brand communications and patient advocacy performance.
- Drive talent management and growth of Communications & Patient Advocacy country teams, aligned with the Corporate Affairs and Novartis culture that allows associates to drive external and internal impact consistently through new and different ways of working, while removing barriers and creating a great place to work. Including skill building in alignment with Corporate Affairs Strategy & Operations.
- Drive and prioritize planning and execution with Public Affairs and ensure alignment of corporate communications work at the region level with global corp comms.

**Role Requirements**

Essential Requirement:

- 15+ years diversified communications & patient advocacy experience.
- Proven leadership & influencing skills
- Product PR communications, social media strategy and implementation
- Patient relations
- Corporate communications, IR, media relations, customer relations, policy.
- Industry/ Business Exposure in matrixed organization
- Leading large and/or diverse multi-functional teams
- Crisis and issues management
