**About the Job**:
We are seeking an Accounting /HR Specialist who will be an essential part of the G&A function in the APAC/APJ region of Taulia. This unique hybrid position will wear multiple hats supporting both Global Accounting and HR Functions from either Shanghai or Singapore. This individual will drive Payroll Administration in Singapore, China and Australia. This role will also perform a pivotal role in the global monthly close process and other local compliance necessities.
This individual will assist with office administration, event management and day to day HR tasks (i.e. employment contract preparation and ensuring local compliance adherence). The role will be full time with flexible working hours.

This role requires superior attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, strong organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple high-priority requests concurrently.
**Accounting Responsibilities**:
- Manage month-end close for certain processes and accounts, including monthly journal entries, reconciliations, income statements and balance sheet fluxes
- Process wires and support payment activity
- Develop optimal procedures and best practices
- Responsible for documentation of processes and desk procedures related to areas owned.
- Establish and implement policies, as deemed necessary, to support existing business activities and growth
- Support audit engagements
- Communicate issues and resolutions to management and affected areas/departments
- Coordinate solutions to problems of moderate complexity with other departments and business units
- Cross-train with other team members to ensure coverage of all accounting areas
- Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned

**HR/Office Management Responsibilities**:
- Support key People initiatives in Singapore/Shanghai (i.e, employee benefits and payroll administration) while ensuring data integrity and accuracy in the HR systems and tools.
- Perform analysis of payroll issues and determine the cause and implement reasonable solutions.
- Deep familiarity of the local compliance requirements for employers in China and a level of comfort in assuring compliance thereof.
- Deliver a superb onboarding experience for all new hires.
- Office management of the APAC/APJ offices including but not limited to ordering of equipment, swag, stationery, liaising with building management, maintaining standards of our working environment.
- Act as a cultural ambassador - living and breathing our values and coaching others to do the same.
- Organize social events for the Singapore/Shanghai offices.

- Ability to efficiently and effectively prioritize and perform multiple projects while working with team members, as well as work independently with the limited required direction
- Positive attitude and flexibility to changing priorities, especially in the period of month/quarter/year-end closing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management
- Eager to learn new things and take on additional tasks to support the team
- Intermediate to Advanced level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (V-lookups, and Pivot tables
- Excellent command of English (both written and verbal).
- Excellent command of Mandarin (both written and verbal).
- End-to-End local payroll processing
- Strong familiarity with local labor laws.
