**Transmission Engineer**

SUMMARY
- Our client is a prominent player in the telecom industry with flourishing networks in the Asia region and beyond. Continuously strengthening its core of providing advanced information services to a vast customer base, the firm seeks to boost its human capital with the addition of a Transmission Engineer to the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaise with vendors, carriers and customer for service activation and fault isolation
- Dealing with headquarter counterpart in mainland China and Hong Kong and other regional headquarters
- Consolidating past and present records, creating new Excel template for the team to simplify record keeping for local and overseas PoPs resources
- Capacity delivery for IPLC/IEPL circuits
- Checking alarms in network management system

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or other relevant field
- At least 3 - 5 years relevant experience
- Ability to quickly adapt to ever-changing technology, fast learner
- Good analytical, problem solving, presentation and communication skills
- Smart working, able to work independently and efficiently under pressure with passion
- Good command in both written and spoken English and Mandarin (to liaise and handle queries and feedback from Mandarin speaking associates and customers)
- Familiar with Carrier Ethernet and operating network tester (eg: MTS-5800) for BERT and RFC2544 testing and throughput test using iPerf and FTP
- Familiar with SDH, DWDM, OTN equipment and boards
- Familiar with Ciena aggregation switches including command line terminal
- Familiar with available submarine cable systems in Singapore
- Familiar with data center environment including cable management and M&E systems
