**Digital Cities - Field Consultant**

**What you’ll achieve**

**You will**:

- Be the Digital Cities customer/partner engagement lead, building an in-depth knowledge of clients' business objectives that can be translated into Digital City business opportunities
- Present Digital Cities vision, strategy, and programs at industry events, conferences and customer forums
- Drive business development and pre-sales initiatives by leveraging both industry and technical background
- Engage with the key ecosystem partners (SI’s, ISVs, OEM’s) on the solution/architecture development
- Provide solution blueprints and pilot architecture support as an SME for large/key opportunities

**Essential Requirements**
- Strong business and technical acumen to build relationships and developing a consultative/ solutions selling approach, with proven high-level negotiation skills, and the ability to challenge the customer’s status quo
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills to be able to influence and interact with confidence and credibility at all levels within the Dell Technologies companies, customers, partners and vendors
- Good understanding of technologies such as - Multi/Hybrid cloud, IOT, Cloud Native Architecture, Apps containerization, AI/ML, Computer vision; Possess the ability to design hybrid cloud models, on-premise, VMware cloud, IaaS, PaaS, CaaS, IOT and DR platforms
- Understands and describes the multiple use cases for smart cities ideally with knowledge of partners using OC, IOC, IOT technology and big data platforms for ingestion and analytics
- Ability to work well in public sector culture, complex navigation of agency stakeholders and confident in meeting leaders of government to promote Dell Technologies Digital Cities

**Desirable Requirements**
- Educational qualification in Computer Science or a related field typically requires 8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 5+ years with a Master’s degree;
- Proven to be proficient in driving solutions for the government and/or enterprise accounts.
