Psychiatrist - regular Locum work Nauru

Exciting locum work on Nauru Island Providing Specialist Psychiatry services as
required.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Consultant Psychiatrist level mental health assessment and management of people at site, including where required, both people in detention and refugees, in accordance with Policies and Procedures. This may be by telephone, videoconferencing or face-to-face.
- Use an integrated model of working care to manage patients across the care continuum where indicated and manageable on location.
- working with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic mental health care, including where appropriate using trauma-informed treatment models.
- Actively participate in continuous quality improvement by providing advice to the Medical Director, Mental Health for improvement in mental health services.
- Work with the Senior Medical Officer to provide supervision, training and oversight of staff working with mental health patients.
- Make recommendations and provide reports through the appropriate communication channels with regard to mental health needs or issues on request from the Australian Border Force.
- Provide advice in a timely manner as requested to Corporate staff to enable responses to the Department of Home Affairs or external bodies on relevant matters.
- Assist with audit and accreditation of medical clinics.
- To work within, promote and ensure compliance with International SOS’ WH&S, policies, practices, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), corporate values and quality assurance standards and keeping the workplace safe, free of harassment, discrimination, bullying and hazard free at all times.
- Undertake any other duties as determined by the Medical Director Mental Health as requested.

Required Work Experience
- Minimum two years Consultant Psychiatrist experience

Required Qualifications
- Fellow or Affiliate member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
- (RANZCP) or equivalent.

Required Languages
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to work with interpreters, or willingness to learn.

Travel / Rotation Requirements

As required 6-8 week rotations. Willingness to commit to ongoing fly in fly out rotations.
Driver’s License pre requisite: Off shore required/Onshore not required but advantageous
