Production Supervisor

The Operations team partners closely with ResMed’s five business leaders to understand their needs then providing a variety of products and services to help them meet those needs including Customer and Technical Services, Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. Focused on enabling new product introduction and operating excellence, our team strives to improve time to market for new products and services, improve efficiencies in our cross-functional processes, and improve our supply chain through digitization and automation to increase value add to our customers.
To lead and support a team of Production Team Leaders in the efficient and effective delivery of the relevant Factory Focus objectives. The focus of attention for this role centers on developing frontline talent to promote commitment and engagement to effective OH&S, Quality and Production systems. Effective delivery, as measured by KPIs on aspects such as safety levels, quality metrics, labour efficiencies and employee engagement, requires excellent leadership qualities and the ability to balance conflicting priorities within a globally competitive manufacturing area.
Let's talk about Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Production Team Leaders through providing effective support and talent development.
Partner with appropriate departments (e.g. Planning, QC, Engineering, etc.) to ensure Team Leaders have the available resources to achieve required production targets in line with demand, quality and specification parameters.
Promote and encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout the team by partnering with relevant support teams (e.g. LEAN, CI, etc.) to achieve globally competitive manufacturing principles and practices.
Provide people management guidance to Team Leaders and a point of escalation for any performance management issues within their teams.
Engage and inspire the teams to achieve cost saving proposals within their team and via the PFT groups.
Work with Production Team Leaders to appropriately performance manage product assembly for all assigned shifts including: - Scheduling of work. - Stock control and move transactions within Oracle. - Completion of NCDs. - Compliance to ResMed's Quality, OH&S and GMP policies, DHR requirements, procedures and work instructions. - Maintenance and monitoring of KPIs.
Guide and facilitate the Production Team Leaders to oversee the management of personnel issues for all shifts including: - Administration of the appropriate time and attendance system. - Induction and assessment of new applicants. - Staff training, mentoring, maintenance of the workplace training systems. - Staff assessment and performance management. - Leave scheduling.
Perform other duties assigned as required.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to empower and motivate team members.

Good working knowledge of the products for each line or proven ability to understand technical.
Strong computer skills, specifically MS Excel and MS Word, Oracle and Objective.
Required
- Significant experience of quality, OH&S and GMP processes.
Proven Leadership experience within an innovative, fast-paced and high volume manufacturing team.
Preferred
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Engineering or Business Management.
Completion of a Supervisor/Leadership program (either via an internal or external approved program) or an equivalent program.
