Software Engineer

This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

HPE Innovation Center is committed to the fast and seamless transfer of advanced technologies into next generation products and solutions. The team resolves business problems by enabling the delivery of advanced Edge-to-Core-to-Cloud strategy with its Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, Data insights to AI solutions for our customers.

We have an exciting opportunity for Data/System Software Engineers to join our team and translate customer needs into innovative projects and end-to-end solutions that foster business transformations, allowing organization to get the most value out of their data.

**Responsibilities**:

- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and functional codes
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and other team members to ensure successful project delivery
- Participate in software system design discussions and code reviews

**_ Education and Experience Required: _**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Knowledge in Web Development frameworks (Angular, ReactJS, SpringBoot, DJango)
- Expertise in RESTful API development and Messaging systems
- Experience in Microservices Architecture, CI/CD, Containerization (Git, Docker, K8s, Ansible)
- Experience with SQL (MySQL, Postgres), NoSQL (MongoDB), Big Data (Cassandra)
- Experience in Data ingestion, cleaning and processing tools
- Experience in building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
- Bonus Area: Understanding Computer Vision, Machine Learning techniques and Big Data Stack
- Strong computer science/software engineering foundation
- Great attention to details and possesses good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills
