**Position Purpose**:

- VP role within FIG Investment Banking
- To support origination and lead the execution of M&A and Capital markets transactions.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide support in the origination of capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and advisory transactions within the FIG sector
- Manage and lead execution of live transactions, including leading a deal team and managing the transaction process, liaising with clients, counterparties, advisors, etc.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of client and internal presentation materials

**Competencies (Technical/ Behavioral)**
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Strong project management skills. Self-starter with leadership and initiative to lead execution work
- Strong work ethic with good team and interpersonal skills
- Technically proficient in financial modeling (including DCF/DDM modeling, analysis of public trading comparables and precedent transactions, merger modelling, etc.) and accounting

**Specific Qualifications Required**
- 6 to 10 years of direct experience at a comparable investment bank, with relevant experience in M&A and/or ECM transactions. FIG experience will be a significant positive. Corporate development / M&A role within FIs will also be considered
