We are looking for a passionate and capable individual to join our division to develop strategies for sustainable manufacturing of specialty chemicals or pharmaceuticals. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in the interface of organic chemistry, photochemistry and biocatalysis to develop new biocatalysts for more streamlined synthesis of complex molecules.
**Responsibilities**:
Synthesize substrates for testing of catalysts.
Conduct and optimize photochemical reactions in aqueous conditions.
Perform product analysis and quantification using methods such as GC, HPLC and NMR.
Analyze and summarize experimental data, communicate results on a regular basis, and prepare reports.
Actively conduct literature review.
Assist with the writing of manuscripts for research publication & contribute to IP generation.
Trainings will be provided.
**Job Requirements**:
Bachelor?s degree in chemistry or a related field.
Good technical competency and knowledge in synthetic chemistry.
Experience and preference for hands-on experimental work in a laboratory.
Experience with analytical techniques, such as NMR, spectroscopy and chromatography is advantageous.
Strong interest to learn about biotechnologies.
Passionate about science and sustainability, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task.
**Type of Employment**: Full-Time
