**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Successful applicants will work with the Collins Aerospace IET team to develop technologies for use in Manufacturing and MRO operations.
- Working with an interdisciplinary team members and with site stakeholders, participate in design and development of automation systems of the company’s Industry 4.0 implementation.
- Work in a cross-functional team to identify opportunities for implementation of advanced technology, in line with the business strategy of the company to modernize manufacturing and MRO operations.
- Design, develop, build and test mechanical components, assemblies and structures, including CAD models and working prototypes for demonstration.
- Project execution including hardware analysis, manufacturing support, design engineering and testing for components that may involve robotic, pneumatic, hydraulic and servo actuated systems.
- Other tasks as may be assigned.

**REQUIREMENT**
- Bachelor’s degree or Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Working experience in a Mechanical or Design Engineering role in a production environment is a plus.
- Proficiency with CAD software (Solidworks preferred)
- Experience in reading, interpreting, and creating CAD drawings
- Experience in geometric tolerances and statistical tolerance analysis
- Ability to operate tools (e.g. drill press, band saw etc)
- Familiar with Lean manufacturing concepts will be a plus
- Familiarity with Design Thinking methodology will be a plus.
