SENIOR/REGIONAL MANAGER (POWER / ENERGY)

**Job Description**:
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:

- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve the growth target for Energy portfolio in Malaysia.
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends in the energy sector.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnership with key clients

Business Development:

- Identify and pursue potential projects by actively seeking new business prospects
- Organize the BD team to engage potential client, submit proposal and secure projects to meet order book target
- Collaborate with other business line managers in country to deliver Group’s growth initiative for the country

Project Management:

- Lead a team of engineers and manage projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, objectives, and progress tracking mechanisms, with a specific focus on undertaking the roles of an Owner's Engineer in project management. This involves supervising construction works, conducting inspection, testing & commissioning witnessing, reviewing contractor design works to ensure adherence to quality standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of energy systems into larger projects.

Design Works:

- Provide technical expertise in either power or energy related design, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Review and approve energy design documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with design teams to optimize solutions and address technical challenges.

Team Leadership:

- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Provide guidance on technical issues and project management.
- Conduct performance reviews and set goals for professional development within the team.

Client Management:

- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction with project deliverables.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing expectations.

Proposal Preparation:

- Prepare and submit proposals for securing projects, outlining technical solutions, timelines, and budgetary requirements.
- Collaborate with the proposal team to ensure alignment with client needs and company capabilities.

Budget and Resource Management:

- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Allocate resources efficiently, considering project requirements and team capabilities.

Quality Assurance:

- Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of electrical designs and project supervision.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical / Chemical Engineering or a related field, preferably with Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC) and/or Registered Electrical Energy Manager (REEM).
- Proven experience in managing power, energy and electrical engineering projects.
- Strong technical expertise in renewable energy and electrical network design and systems that align with the latest industry standards and best practices, including power system study, fault discrimination study.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for client interactions.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.

**Experience**:

- minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in energy and electrical engineering and project management, with a preference for specialization in the renewable energy, green energy and energy efficiency sector.
- Demonstrated experience in a managerial or leadership capacity, with a strong emphasis on managing client relationships, particularly within the utilities sector.
- Track record of successfully acquiring and delivering projects on time and within budget.
