**Technical Support Engineer/ Technical Support Manager (Mechanical)**

**(Based in Singapore)**

**ORGANISATION**

Reporting to the Technical Manager based in Singapore, you will be responsible for the mechanical engineers' deployment on project and repair work. Based on seniority and experience level, a Technical Support Manager title can be discussed.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Guide the mechanical engineer to ensure repairs in the company workshop in Singapore and installation on site are carried out to the highest quality standards, within budget, and on time. You will provide timely and effective technical support to engineers and customers, including troubleshooting, problem-solving, and managing escalation.
- Provide technical expertise for service to the customers such as advice on the magnitude of repair, necessary corrective actions, and costs in consultation with the Technical Manager and the Sales Teams.
- Support the spare parts and after-sales team in the preparation of quotations and identification of correct and needed parts. You will with technical expertise and assist in preparing quotations for parts and service work.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including engineering, spare parts, and sales, to identify and address performance issues and customer feedback.
- As one of the key technical experts for mechanical engineering in the service department you will work in collaboration with technicians and contractors to ensure correct repair procedures are followed at the customer site and prepare adequate documentation on repairs undertaken.

**Requirements**:
**YOUR PROFILE**
- A diploma/degree in marine, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering.
- At least 10 years of technical experience in the marine machinery industry.
- Experienced in implementing an improved process or operational policies for service department effectiveness.
- Experience in leading or coordinating with engineers, technicians, and third-party contractors.
- People-oriented you like developing teams and improving performance.
- Passionate about machinery and engineering and striving to achieve operational excellence.
- Dedicated service mindset with strong commercial sensitivity and customer focus.
- Proficiency in English, with the ability to motivate a culturally diverse workforce.
