LAI Games is an arcade experience company that connects people with games. We’re building an arcade experience ecosystem that consists of physical arcade games, consumer and location-based VR games and experiences, and other exciting arcade-based titles that connect, engage, and delight players across physical and virtual worlds.
We’re launching our consumer VR title, Arcade Legend, on Quest and Steam later this year, and have many exciting arcade games, a location-based VR title, and an innovative new digital arcade concept, all in various stages of development.
A creative space with software, art, electronics, and mechanical devices all being developed side-by-side, our studio is a hive of activity that rewards curiosity and appeals to the inventive.
**About the Role**:
As a Product Manager at LAI Games, you will oversee the delivery of exciting new content and features across Arcade Online, making sure our players are always at the center of everything we do.
You’ll work closely with software and hardware engineering teams, designers, and artists, to help design, develop and guide the speed, growth, and quality of Arcade Online. Your focus will be on the master product road map, stakeholder alignment, platform analytics, product positioning, platform ecosystem, and generally ensuring an amazing experience for our players.
You work closely with the Chief Product Officer to collaborate on and document the product roadmap for Arcade Online, ensuring the vision is well communicated, business and product benefits are well defined, and stakeholders are challenged where necessary.
As the Arcade Online Product Manager, you’re the go-to for delivery across all aspects of the platform. You’re responsible for ensuring project leads are central in the day-to-day cadence of sprint planning, prioritization, and stand-ups, ensuring work is well managed, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders. You ensure that all product verticals have a prioritized and well-groomed backlog and that features flow seamlessly throughout each part of the development lifecycle and successfully into production.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead regular workshops to forward plan sprints, ensuring all teams are aligned with the vision and road map, and that the master backlog is delivered as prioritised
- Drive the product and planning process across cross-functional teams of the company
- Ensure issues and new requirements are triaged and prioritised by the project team
- Analyze consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI and build vs. buy perspective
- Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation
- Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they’re successful achieved
- Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments
- Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and feature launch
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by development teams
- Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
- Collaborate closely with development, marketing, and operations teams on the development, QA, and release of features and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization
**Required Skills and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in product design, engineering, or similar field
- Strong experience in a dynamic product management role overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
- Experience leading large product teams and backlogs to deliver commercial results in consumer-facing games, services, or an e-commerce environment (or similar)
- Highly effective cross-functional team management
- A detailed understanding of how customers engage and interact online and across channels
- Pragmatic, fast-paced, customer focussed, excellent commercial acumen, comfortable with basic analytics
- Experience working with the agile methodology
- A positive and impactful communicator, with both technical and non-technical teams
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Passionate about games and customer experience
**Nice to Have**:
- Experience with digital marketing
- Experience with embedded systems
- Experience in hardware engineering, design, or tinkering
- Familiar with modern web architecture, with an ability to comprehend technical solutions and implications
- Experience with project and product management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma and Project
