**Description**
APAC Customer Marketing is part of the APAC Marketing team alongside the Brand, Category, Professional Services, Communications and Private Label teams and is responsible for leading the APAC customer strategy. The Director of Customer Marketing reports directly to VP APAC Marketing and manages two direct reports.
**Job Summary**:
- Acting as the strong ‘voice of the customer’ within the business to ensure that our plans across the business (including those of marketing, sales and operations) are best for our customer portfolio and overall performance
- Development and leadership of the APAC channel strategy to ensure CooperVision wins with key customers across the region.
- Defines the ideal Customer Experience and works cross functionally to execute it across key channels to differentiate CV from competitors
- Develops the private label strategy and plans, in partnership with the Local KA Team and Regional/ Global functions
- Management of the APAC price and promotions framework.
- Lead the customer planning process ensuring that CooperVision develops and executes plans that drive growth and share with key customers.
- Develop innovative customer marketing initiatives to drive growth and share in key customers.
- Development of the overall customer marketing function across APAC ensuring that customer marketing is a key part of the CooperVision winning proposition.
**Essential Functions & Accountabilities**:
Commercial strategy:
- Lead and manage the APAC channel strategy, ensuring that commercial guidelines are in place to enable CooperVision to win with key customers, engage high potential customers and protect business with core customers. This would also include identifying new customer opportunities and white space opportunities.
- Lead and manage the Private Label strategy ensuring credible PL package developed for customers and potential customer opportunities identified and action plans agreed with markets
- Work with the local market leadership teams to ensure the channel strategy is an integral part of the annual business planning process.
- Ensure the channel strategy is continually updated with the latest market trends and insights.
- Deliver and manage the APAC pricing and promotions framework to markets, ensuring guidelines are met, managing pricing and promotion requests and resolving issues across the region.
- Manage the response to specific commercial issues that may arise (e.g. grey market) delivering recommendations that enable CooperVision to manage the situation effectively.
Customer Engagement
- Drive the channel annual account planning process for Strategic Partner Accounts (SPAs) to create meaningful account and customer marketing plans that deliver the market and company objectives.
- Develop best in class sales tools that enable local market teams to engage key customers in the CooperVision category strategy and annual plan.
- Develop customer marketing initiatives that enable CooperVision to engage customers and drive growth.
- Ensure appropriate forums are in place to share best practice and learnings between markets and customers
- Work closely with counterparts in Global Key Accounts and the US and EMEA to ensure the continually development and improvement of the CooperVision customer proposition.
Execution
- Champion execution excellence through leading and supporting customer marketing in developing key account customer plans including sell-in toolkit._ _
- Understand and develop plans to exploit the commercial opportunities and mitigate the risks for CooperVision at APAC level and with key customers._ _
- Track and monitor competitor activity, ensuring that commercial teams are armed with up to date and relevant competitor insights to enable fast decision making and action.
- Owner of Distribution tracker and action planning across markets/ main accounts to identify opportunities and action plans with markets
**Qualifications**
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Demonstrated core leadership skills; ability to manage, motivate & lead diverse, remote and cross-functional teams internally and possibly including external participants.
- Ability to identify data for insights and turn this into effective marketing communication activity.
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
- Skill in persuading and influencing stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
- Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, to interpret data effectively to drive commercial decisions.
- Intermediate skill in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Advanced preferred.
- External agency management and budget responsibility.
**Work Environment**:
- Sedentary to light physical effort necessary to perform the job.
- Extended periods of prolonged sitting and using a computer.
- Office-based, with travel to customer sites, events, other CVI sites across the region.
**Experience**:
- Min
