Citi’s **Risk Management **organization oversees Citi’s risk governance framework and risk appetite, ensures all risks generated by the firm’s businesses are measured, reviewed, and monitored on an ongoing basis.
We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as **Director, Asia Pacific Senior Counterparty Credit Risk Manager - Hybrid** (Internal Job Title: Credit Portfolio Senior Officer II - **C15**) based in Singapore. **In this role, you’re expected to**:
- Provide Senior Credit Approval on Counterparty Credit Facilities such as Global Margin Lending, Over-the-Counter (OTC) Derivative products for Wealth clients including traditional Family Office, and Institutional Family Office.
- Provide oversight and challenge for the business covering full range of Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) products and oversight for Singapore franchise with respect to CCR relationship.
- Setting a global culture which demands excellence in analysis, underwriting, monitoring, and drives global consistency across regions.
- Facilitate relationships with key clients in Wealth and Risk and with key Regulators such as Monetary Authority of Singapore, Internal Audit, and control functions.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive years of experience in financial services and risk management required.
- Senior Credit Officer Designation (or Equivalent Authority) preferred considering Credit Approval
- Proficiency in margin lending, capital markets products and complex financing and product structures.
- Ability to provide strategic insights and strong sensitivity to macro and regulatory issues, and impact of such issues on the various Risk families, including operational and franchise risks.
- Ability to discuss and address issues associated with the allocation of risk assets and risk capital in partnership with banking and product organizations.
- Significant risk or risk-related counterparty credit work experience in banking or financial institutions with expertise in the private client, family office and alternative investment counterparties.
- Proven ability to effectively engage with regulators and internal control functions including Internal Audit and Fundamental Credit Risk as well as with external audit.
- Demonstrates strong ethics and integrity.
- Strong leadership. Dynamic, flexible, and with strong communication skills.
- Ability to see the ‘big picture’ in a complex environment.
- Can make decisions under pressure and short timeline.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Active listening skills.
- Demonstrated influencing and negotiating ability, resolve conflicts amongst various constituencies.
- Excellent presentation skills - adept at presenting effectively to audiences of various sizes and various constituencies.
