Join the Global Markets Research - FX and Rates Strategy team at OCBC and gain hands-on experience in the world of foreign exchange and interest rates research. As a FX/Rates Research and Strategy Intern, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced strategists, contribute to the development of market intelligence, and gain exposure to the inner workings of the bank's FX/Rates research function. **How you succeed**

You'll work closely with the research team to analyze market data, create research reports, and present findings to clients and stakeholders. **What you do**

Your responsibilities will include:

- Market Analysis: analyze market and economic data to identify trends and patterns in the FX/Rates market
- Model Maintenance: maintain and update FX/Rates-related models and spreadsheets
- Research Assistance: assist the respective strategist in refining existing models and creating new ones under their guidance
- Data Collection: collect and compile data from third-party databases and central banks to support research initiatives
- Project Collaboration: collaborate on small-scale thematic projects to gain a comprehensive understanding of the FX/Rates market

**Who you are**
- Baseline familiarity with FX and Rates content
- Competent skills in MS Office suite
- Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal (optional but advantageous)
- Currently pursuing a degree in finance, economics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

**Learning Objectives**

This internship will provide you with:

- Hands-on experience in FX/Rates research and strategy
- Exposure to the inner workings of the bank's FX/Rates research function
- Development of technical skills in the FX/Rates area, including financial modeling and data analysis
- Opportunity to work with experienced strategists and build relationships with stakeholders
- Practical experience in creating research reports and presenting findings to clients and stakeholders
- Training on financial platforms and databases, including Bloomberg Terminal
