Position Overview

This role will work with the wider Finance and IT teams to ensure all financial systems and implemented and managed and contribute to an effective internal control environment. The Systems Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the company’s finance & accounting functions are properly managed and supported. The role will support broad company initiatives and interact with key internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions- Be a strong business partner who is responsible for managing the financial systems implementation and management throughout the APAC group- Work with the wider finance team to ensure financial systems are suitable and performing as expected.- Identify areas for improvements in systems and processes and manage controlled implementation- Ensure the finance department is compliant with the company’s operating rules, policies & procedures

Duties-
- Act as a business partner to evaluate and develop business processes and propose and implement solutions to business system problems- Manage the ongoing rollout of Yardi improvements and improved reporting functionality- Developing best practice and ensuring consistency in finance system processes across the group, to include permissions, compliance with delegated authorities and approval limits and ensuring the segregation of duties- Manage the testing and implementation of new phases of Yardi and new functionality which are introduced- Assist with the continuous improvement of Group financial reporting through automation of processes, integration of multiple datasets and cross-functional system interfaces, e.g. development of a data lake and PowerBI interface- Support with the introduction of updated policies, procedures, accounting and disclosures throughout the finance team as required- Testing and documenting internal system processes and procedures- Support the maintenance of appropriate internal financial controls and risk management processes- Maintain audit evidence to support key systems controls and be point of contact for internal audit testing and review.- Build relationships with key stakeholders and act as a key point of contact with 3rd party consultants-
- Support the business with adhoc requests for data, insights, financial planning and analysis- Ensure the Company’s internal financial control systems, processes and policies are complied with by all parts of the Company’s operations, including supply chain management, purchasing controls, payment authorizations

Job Requirements- Fluency in English is essential- Qualified accountant or QBE- Experience of implementing and/or developing financial systems- Strong controls background and experience of working with internal audit- Results driven, ability to deliver to tight deadlines in a fast paced business- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail- Experience in dealing with issues and problem solve- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office 365- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate internally with team members, key stakeholders and with other service providers- Work effectively in collaboration cross-functionally to achieve shared goals and deliver business objectives- Travel is expected to be less than 5%, occasionally for training purposes- Potential employees must complete a background check successfully
