
Senior Manager, Volunteer Resource Optimisation

This position helps to build more effective and impactful Social Service Agencies (SSAs) by creating change at the organisational level (i.e., organisational structure, practices, and technology) in the aspect of volunteer management. The role involves:
1. Overseeing the funding scheme for SSAs to hire dedicated volunteer manager and relationship building with the funded agencies.
2. Piloting and executing strategies and initiatives to drive understanding and usage of sectoral volunteer management resources.
3. Synergising and influencing initiatives with key stakeholders to support SSAs in strengthening their volunteer management capabilities using technology.
Through the effort, the role helps to build a stronger Social Service Sector that is augmented in manpower strength by volunteers, thereby creating a more resilient Sector, and a caring and inclusive Singapore.
1. Lead in the administration of the funding scheme which includes:
- Marketing the launch of the scheme
- Appointing and onboarding the SSAs
- Ensuring strong financial governance
- Collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data for impact reporting.
2. Build relationships with funded agencies at the senior management and volunteer manager level through meetings and engagement sessions to understand their challenges and provide capability building support to achieve funding outcomes.
3. Influence senior management to effect organisational changes, including the sustaining of dedicated volunteer manager role beyond the funding period.
4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create and implement pilot strategies and initiatives, which aim to increase understanding and usage of sectoral volunteer management resources (e.g., Volunteer Continuity Planning Guide, Volunteer Role Redesign Guide, Volunteer Development Guide) amongst SSAs, thereby enhancing their volunteer management practices.
5. Collaborate and influence key stakeholders to support SSAs in strengthening their volunteer management capabilities using technology (e.g., Volunteer Management System, Giving.sg, SG Cares App)
6. Create and implement strategies and initiatives to equip SSAs with change management abilities for successful implementation of volunteer management system within their organisation.
7. Any other duties as assigned.
**Personal Competencies**:
- Strong analytical and planning skills

**Skills & Knowledge**:
- IM on Grant governance
- Stakeholder Management
- Change Management
- Project Management
**Experience**:
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience, including grant governance and pioneering work.
- Volunteering and/or volunteer management experience (preferred)
