To lead and ensure the Center (CT2B) operational, administrative and facilities excellence and regulatory compliance.

**Responsibilites**:

- Lead a team of engineers in running and managing the Centre (CT2B) operations matters
- Work closely with the facilities shared services team in supporting the workshops and laboratories matters
- Work closely with the HSE Officer in ensuring workplace safety, create awareness, organise relevant training and compliance with regularity requirements
- Support the organisation’s operations and research needs through the workshops, laboratories, offices, events premises, building infrastructure and premise security management
- Ensure a safe working environment for all staff within the centre
- Ensure daily walkabout is concluded in the centre to ensure the centre is in good operational condition, uncompromised security and safety compliance
- Manage an operations budget and operates within the allocated budget
- Track, maintain and order the operational inventories and maintain an excellent systematic filing system
- Update and maintain the office house rules, policies and procedures
- Handle requests and queries from staff and management
- Contact and work with various contractors for routine servicing and emergency repair to keep the centre in a daily operational state
- Liaising with the landlord on the maintenance of common areas
- Ensure all term contracts are renewed timely and review all term contract performance and initiate new term contracts when applicable
- Responsible for ensuring all installation, electrical wiring, gas piping and outfitting of the enclosure, workshop and laboratories comply with all safety and regulatory requirements
- Required to perform any centre-centric duties to ensure the smooth operations and research work in the centre
- Lead the investigation, check and analysis of the report on any workshop and laboratory breakdown
- Participate in statutory audit and internal audit
- Any other duties assigned as an Operations Manager for the Center and BIM (Building Infrastructure Management)

Job requirements
- Degree in related field (Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / IT / Safety /Operations)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant management experience in operations for the workshop, laboratory, facility, building services, electrical and mechanical
- Experience in supervising contractors, facility management and their sub-contractors
- Some understanding of the HS&E regulatory requirement
- Has a strong ability to lead and manage multiple projects concurrently
- A self-driven and meticulous individual who is keen to pick up new knowledge and technology
- Respect authorities and accountability positions
