Boeing Singapore is seeking an experienced Quality Systems Specialist (Multi-function) - Modifications, Maintenance and Freighter Conversions to be based in Singapore to provide quality support for our Boeing Global Services - Maintenance and Freighter Conversions Programs.
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Perform Quality Representative (QR) duties in support of remote certifications and/or Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) on-site quality activities such as site-startup activities, site surveillance and/or corrective action verification reviewing quality of build and processes being utilized. Ensure MRO is adhering to engineering requirements through periodic visual inspections, etc.
- Knowledge, understanding and the ability to read, navigate and interpret engineering drawings and data is a must.
- Be knowledge of FAA and local regulations and guidance to ensure compliance.
- Interfaces with company employees, suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.
- Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation, ensuring solutions are consistent with organizational goals and objectives.
- Performs work with mínimal direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
- Leads audits and assessments of complex supplier's quality systems, processes and products.
- Documents and reports audit and assessment results.
- Assesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work.
- Provides education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.
**Additional responsibilities**:
- Participation in periodic audits of various areas and aspects of the business and/or organization to ensure compliance to process and procedural standards.
- Participation in Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM) activity to aid in the troubleshooting with any issues which may arise.
- Execute departmental and organizational goals and objectives to ensure continued success and improvements.
- Supports processes and systems that ensure the reliability, quality and system safety of company or procured products and services.
- Supporting departmental self-evaluation requirements through periodic self-auditing to ensure compliance to the Quality Management System.
- Support project improvement efforts, lean and process improvement initiatives to ensure continuous improvement to achieve organizational and company objectives.
- Support processes and procedure initiatives to ensure continued products and services.
- Be knowledgeable with Safety Management System (SMS) and the Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Ensures compliance to the Records and Information Management (RIM) requirements.
- Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity.
- Evaluates supplier root cause analysis and proposed corrective action plans (RCCA).
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)**:
- 5+ years inspection experience on aircraft installations
- 5+ working with engineering drawings, data and standards
- Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
- 5+ years of experience in implementing process and/or strategy improvements
- 5+ years of experience working with FAA / local regulations
- 5+ years of experience with FAA / local Conformity Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the deployment and administration of policies, procedures, and processes
- 5+ years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action, Root Cause Corrective Actions
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)**:
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate preferred or equivalent, but not required
- 7+ years of experience auditing to quality system standards
- 7+ years’ experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS)
**Travel**:
- This position will be required to travel 20% of the time when called upon to support on-site project activities at other locations.
**Typical Education & Experience**:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
