**Our Client**:
Our client is a global developer and manufacturer of chemical products such as coatings, printings & packaging for various industries. With the expansion of business, they are looking for a Procurement Manager to take lead of procurement process for Singapore plant, and maintain its competitive position in the industry through effective strategies.

**The Responsibilities**:

- Manage daily procurement responsibility by supporting operations, finance and technology
- Take lead on procurement of raw materials, capital and indirect spends timely and effectively to ensure continuous business operation
- Ensure purchasing policies and processes are in system to meet operational needs and business objectives
- Create and review opportunities to implement better purchasing policies and digitalization of procurement process to improve business performance
- Create and review opportunities on alternative materials or suppliers to meet business unit objective
- Implement cross-functional cost savings, support new product development products, quality improvements by sourcing, selecting, and partnering with suppliers through robust category strategies
- Negotiate contracts, terms and conditions, and deadlines with vendors/ suppliers to secure terms
- Develop commodity management for critical commodity
- Monitor and update fluctuation of direct materials price including vendor's pricing
- Periodically review and manage audit system integrity of supplier info, ensure documentations and records are updated promptly in system
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreement, review corrective action and annual supplier audit plan where applicable
- Observe and analyze market trend of raw material and feedstock related movement, keep abreast of changing environment, and keep various stakeholder updated

**The Requirements**:

- Degree in Procurement/ Supply chain/ Chemical engineering/ Manufacturing or relevant discipline
- Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience with knowledge in Chemical Industry
- Familiar with Six Sigma/ Lean Manufacturing/ Continuous Improvement Experience will be advantageous
- Possession of Professional Certification in Strategic Sourcing and Procurement will be advantageous
- Must be comfortable with travelling up to 25% of time (domestic and international)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate efficiently
- Excellent negotiation skills with resolution techniques
- Independent, strategic thinker with good problem-solving skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to make decisions under pressure
