Working as System Engineer in EBU (Embedded Business Unit) at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for system-level validation, failure analysis, testing & experimentation on customer systems and usage model collection. To accomplish these responsibilities, you will use a variety of equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, multi-meters, etc.). Strong teamwork collaboration is required as you will work with other team members from peer system engineering team, Micron development team, local field teams, distributors, and customer R&D team. On occasion, you may will carry out these responsibilities at customer locations.

**Responsibilities would include but not limited in below**:

- Using high-end measurement equipment (eg. Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and relevant software kits, join the technical engagements with key customers and chipset partners through system-level verification with Micron memory parts.
- Utilize diagnostics to reproduce the original failure, identify failure mechanism and collaborate with Application Engineering and Quality Engineering teams to deliver feasible system solution to external customers or chipset partners.
- Extend the support coverage through guiding and coaching distributor FAEs to perform system level timing analysis on memory parts and simple issue debug in Co-lab.
- Leverage lab equipment and tools to understand memory usage: develop software to interpret data, collaborate with Application / System Engineering and Architecture teams, communicate the results.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- B.S./M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other equivalent majors.
- Has lab equipment hands-on experience, failure analysis and debug skill - oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, etc.
- Experience of performing soldering/BGA re-balling is preferred but not requisite.
- Knowledge on memory and storage technologies is a strong plus: DRAM, DDR, LPDDR, GDDR, eMMC, UFS, SSD, etc.
- High degree of self-initiative and ability to think and act independently.
- Good multi-tasking and problem-solving skills with the capability to work under tight timeframes and drive for results.
- Excellent organizational skills and outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese Mandarin.
- Ability and willingness to travel when required.
