Routledge is looking for an organised, methodical and motivated Editorial Assistant to join our books editorial team in Singapore. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a thorough introduction to the academic book publishing process in a demanding role where the assistant will be working on a range of academic books in social science and humanities.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Provide administrative support to the Commissioning Editors
- Assist the Editors in sending proposals for review, drawing up author contracts and chasing reviews during the book proposal process
- Provide pre
- and post-publication care to authors, including chasing authors to deliver manuscripts, advising on permissions and copyright queries, and checking and passing manuscripts to production
- Keep author and project databases up to date, organizing author book promotion flyers and sending gratis copies to authors and contributors.
- Act as the main point of contact for numerous authors and internal departments

**Qualifications** What we’re looking for**:

- High level of attention to detail
- Demonstrable ability to prioritise workload, and multitask
- Excellent team-working skills, and a collegiate approach to working
- Good at troubleshooting, solution finding and decision-making
- Strong command of English (oral and written)
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programmes
- An interest in academic publishing
- Previous Publishing experience would be an advantage but not essential
