**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence:

- Plan, direct, and coordinate all marine operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry best practices.
- Optimize vessel schedules and deployments to maximize productivity and profitability.
- Oversee cargo operations, bunkering, and port calls, ensuring smooth and timely execution.
- Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure full compliance with all relevant local and international maritime regulations, including those of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
- Implement and maintain a robust safety management system (SMS) in accordance with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Oversee investigations into any incidents or accidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Specifically ensure adherence to oil major safety protocols and best practices.
- Team Development:

- Identify the training needs of the Marine Management team.
- Identify and implement training programs to enhance skills, promote continuous improvement, and ensure staff are kept abreast of new regulations and industry initiatives.

**Requirements**:

- Class 1 Certificate of Competency (CoC) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in ship management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience working with oil majors is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of international maritime conventions and regulations, including SOLAS, MARPOL, and the ISM Code.
- Extensive experience working with oil majors, demonstrating a strong understanding of their specific safety and operational requirements.
- Must possess a relevant chemical tanker certification OR have substantial experience in the safe handling of chemical cargoes.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
