This position is a Systems Administrator - Windows to support our customer hosting environments. It is a new position to support our growing presence in the Asia Pacific region. The person who will join the team will be part of our world-wide Cloud Operations group. The primarily responsibility for this position is the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of Windows systems hardware, software and related infrastructure supporting hosted customers and internal IT operations in public cloud and colocation environments This is an exciting, newly-created position, specifically supporting a new installation our Polaris ILS (Integrated Library System) product for a Singapore-based customer. The person in this position joins 10 engineers reporting to the Sr. Manager, Systems Architecture and Administration. The team is responsible for a global fleet of customer and internal IT environments and servers running our software products and support services.

About You
- Minimum 3 years of experience administering and supporting Enterprise Microsoft environments.
- Expertise managing Microsoft Windows servers on virtualized environment.
- Expertise in managing various Microsoft Technologies like Microsoft Active Directory, Terminal servers, and SQL servers.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Commitment to quality and exceeding customer expectations.

It would be great if you are...
- Skilled with system automation using PowerShell/Python/Perl/Ansible.
- Expert understanding of various public clouds especially AWS.
- Experience working with networking including firewalls, switching and VPN.
- Experience with Solarwinds as a monitoring tool.
- Experience working in a SaaS environment.
- Demonstrated experience with performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Linux.

What will you be doing in this role?
- Build and provision Windows Server systems in public cloud and private colocation virtual environments.
- Install and configure our software.
- Work with our Support Engineers to keep our hosted systems running correctly and efficiently.
- Assure proper monitoring of our software and work to correct any performance issues.
- Respond to outage notifications bringing in additional support from the CloudOps team or Customer support as necessary.
- Create documentation as procedures and processes are created and modified.
- Travel to Singapore will be required occasionally.

About the Team

The CloudOps team is a global organization supporting customer and internal virtual-machine hosting in public clouds like AWS and virtualization in private colocation spaces. We have team members around the world serving customers in many countries around the clock. The team consists of Windows and Linux Engineers, a DBA and a Network Engineer.

Hours of Work

Normal working hour, however due to the 24x7 operations, night, weekend & holiday support may happen occasionally.
