Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Lead

Our organization is seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Lead to spearhead our DevOps initiatives and drive automation, scalability, and reliability across our cloud and on-premise platforms.

This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise with team guidance, ideal for someone who has evolved from application development into DevOps and enjoys bridging the gap between developers and operations.

  • Spearhead and mentor a DevOps engineering team, promoting best practices in automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment, testing, and release processes.
  • Drive automation initiatives for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, logging, and configuration management.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and governance are embedded into DevOps workflows.
  • Monitor system health, availability, and performance, proactively addressing reliability issues.
  • Advocate and implement cloud-native solutions and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years in DevOps and a solid background in software/application development.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Lead or Senior DevOps Engineer in large-scale environments.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong expertise with Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting and development languages (Python, Go, Java, or similar).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Solid understanding of networking, system administration (Linux/Unix), and cloud security principles.
