Cloud Architect Role

This position involves leading the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native and hybrid cloud solutions. As a Cloud Architect, you will serve as the technical expert driving strategic architecture decisions, optimizing infrastructure, and contributing to scalable, secure cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design end-to-end cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud architectures, focusing on AWS.
  • Develop and implement cloud design patterns, templates, and best practices.
  • Lead technical solutioning across IaaS, PaaS, and containerized architectures.
  • Provide thought leadership and guide cloud strategy, direction, and adoption.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement robust DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Drive high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization designs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for cloud provisioning, orchestration, and infrastructure automation.
  • Evaluate technical solutions to ensure alignment with business goals and security standards.
  • Work closely with colleagues to scope, require, and deploy mission-critical services.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to internal cloud governance and documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in cloud operations and infrastructure engineering, with at least 5 years in AWS architecture & operations.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (or equivalent professional-level certification).
  • Hands-on expertise in AWS cloud services, infrastructure design, and automation.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, microservices architecture, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of networking, storage, monitoring, and cloud security.
  • Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications and modern application architectures.
  • Experience with Azure, GCP, or other cloud platforms.
  • Background in cloud business case development or cloud cost modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud fitment assessments and product-market trends.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex cloud solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in the financial services or payments industry is beneficial.
