Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure cloud-based infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Migrate IT systems from on-premise to a secure government cloud using VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
  • Set up and manage VMware VCF components like vSAN, NSX, vCenter, and SDDC Manager.
  • Deploy and maintain VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications.
  • Use Aria Automation and GitLab CI to automate server setup and app deployment.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers, including Tomcat, Apache, and IIS web servers.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and resource usage across cloud and container platforms.
  • Apply security hardening and manage security testing (e.g., DAST, SAST, penetration testing).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certifications like CISSP, VCP, CKA, or CKAD are preferred.
  • Experience in IT security testing and system hardening in secure environments.
  • Background in managing infrastructure in classified or restricted data centers.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure deployment and maintenance.
  • Familiar with CI/CD tools and supporting pipelines in live/production environments.
