Care Corner Singapore Ltd was founded in 1981, in a climate of changes in the early 1980s, as economic competition in the region intensified and the rift between the wealthy and the lower-income in particular the Chinese blue-collar workers, widened. Rev Tan Tien Ser and a group of passionate individuals believed that these marginalised people with lower income and little opportunities for a formal education could be helped to realise their potential and become more competent and fulfilled persons. Through a series of early outreach initiatives, Care Corner has evolved into an organisation offering a wide range of programmes and services delivered through various social service centres located island-wide. In a bid to stay relevant to the needs of the community, Care Corner has continuously strived to offer new and innovative programmes to support those in need and the less privileged.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Volunteer Development (Corporate Outreach)
- Responsible to expand the base of corporate CSR partners in volunteering.
- Responsible to grow and deepen volunteerism among current Corporate partners.
- Responsible for growing skills-based volunteers to augment our services to our service users as well as to support our work in Care Corner.
- Work with internal stakeholders on HR/administration requirements for skilled-based pro bono volunteers.
- Ensure that there is a growing community of regular and ad-hoc volunteers to support our service points by growing the corporate volunteers pool;
- Synergise with fundraising team to engage corporate partners meaningfully
- Work with the VCE team to build a vibrant community of volunteers and a sustainable pool of volunteer leaders;
Marketing and Communications
- Look into marketing volunteering opportunities across various platforms to recruit volunteers;
- Engage with current volunteers effectively
- Assist with the onboarding, training and supervision of volunteers;
- Work closely with Corporate Communications team: (a) to produce marketing collaterals (e.g. posters, banners, external direct mailers), (b) on social media and mainstream media engagement

Community Engagement
- Work with AD (VCE) to oversee regular reporting on the contributions of the volunteer development and community engagement to the organisation and community;
- Work with the team to engage the community partners in at least one region
- Work closely with service points to support and meet their volunteer and community engagement objectives

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years’ experience in either marketing and communications, consultative sales, business development, partnerships or community engagement.
- Ability to function as an effective individual contributor and team player
- Strong stakeholders’ management and people skills
- Be an effective conduit of information between all relevant working parties
- Independent, pro-active as a team player, able to work in a fast-paced environment
