Job Description(s):

- Improve and ensure work safety
- Ensure work quality is maintained
- Ensure proper control and utilization of material resources
- Interpret drawings and explain to Chargehands on the job to be performed
- Perform and carry out supervision of machine shop works, site machining works and site installation works
- Supervise the installation of equipment
- Perform testing and commissioning of equipment
- Supervise protection and preservation of equipment
- Ensure rules and regulations of the Company and government are being complied with
- Review the production work processes to enhance efficiency and production
- Coordinate and build good rapport with both internal and external parties (surveyors and clients)
- Assist in supervising of the workforce:

- Look after the welfare of the workers
- Ensure the discipline of the workers
- Ensure the work safety of the workers
- Deploy and utilize manpower effectively
- Plan and organize jobs to workers
- Manage and control subcontractor’s workers
- Manage the career development and training of personnel
- Assist the Superintendent to arrange inspections with third party (surveyors or clients)

Requirement(s):

- At least 2 years of work experience related to handling of marine equipment and/ or workshop-machining environment for diploma holder and Higher NITEC holder and 6 years for GCE ‘O’ Levels certification holder
- Able to understand and interpret technical drawings
- Able to understand the Class regulations with respect to equipment installation
- Able to work in a team
- Possess knowledge of arithmetic calculation on lengths, angles, scales, conversion of units etc
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess supervisory skill to coach and motivate staff
- Has a fair knowledge of gas cutting process, welding process and in-situ machining
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Project) and AutoCAD
