The Skillsfuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) is a train-and-place program that aims to support the career transition needs of Singaporeans and provide our learners with the opportunity to upskill, and access new or enhanced job opportunities with potential employers. If you are a mid-career individual looking at a career switch, to boost employability and/or to gain industry-relevant experience, the SSG Career Transition Programme is for you.

This program will equip built environment professionals or individuals interested to transition to the green sector with the right skills to take advantage of career opportunities in the sustainability sector. This program will help individuals develop deep skills related to smart building, smart transport, smart health and smart city. The program schedule will consist of in-person training, live online training, company visits and employment facilitation to help individuals access new or enhanced job opportunities. Both unemployed and employed individuals can participate in this program, provided they can fulfill training commitments, including minimum attendance requirements, and passing of assessments. SkillsFuture funding is available for all Singaporeans/PRs. Alternative funding is available as well.

**Responsibilities**

The role of the Sustainability Officer in the Built Environment sector is to:

- Manage Green Building process and assessment of projects and ensure target achievement, such as BCA Green Mark, LEED etc.
- Conducting walk-through measurement of building performance (ACMV system, lighting, landscape, indoor comfort, etc) to analyse and propose improvement.
- Conduct Building Science calculation, simulation and reporting on areas such as ACMV, lighting, landscape, energy, wind, wind-driven rain, daylight/glare, thermal and solar simulations.
- Prepare for Green Building credit compliance assessment to manage optimal and targeted credit compliance
- Review reports, products, materials, equipment, specifications and any other
- Carbon accounting and life cycle analysis of energy and sustainability strategies for both new and existing buildings in designing phase

**Requirements**:

- Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Bachelor's Degree in building design, engineering, building services engineering, materials science or relevant field of studies
- Familiar with Singapore's code of practice and regulations
- Experience in professional service environment and project management with at least 0-5 years’ experience.
- Interdisciplinary knowledge in the fields of energy management, renewable energy, building physics, etc
- Professional experience in the above areas including knowledge of current environmental simulation tools
- Comprehensive understanding and expertise on key topics such as : climate change, resource efficiency, renewable energy, carbon management, sustainable and novel materials, and circular economy of supply chains
- Open to learning and upskilling, positive attitude on embracing technologies
