Production & Training Lead
Overview
The position will be responsible for providing leadership to a team of operators to ensure the deliverables MD Feeder production operations and spearhead sitewide DL training program to meet quality, cost, delivery, and flexi workforce with multi-skills. Responsibilities
Plan and organizes manpower and equipment to maximize productivity to meet production targets, included redeployment and OT management.
Lead the team and work closely with supporting departments to meet production KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory & Productivity), included Absorption, DM of SQDIP and Build Plan at Gemba.
Assists Production Manager in achieving Department’s KPIs.
NPI Early Involvement (Proactively Preparing Production Resources for NPI, actively involved in reviewing NPI Design for Manufacturability.)
Confer with engineers to resolve technical & quality issues.
Analyze assembly issues and recommend corrective/preventive actions and Lead Quality Improvement project.
Ensures Good documentation (e.g., DHR as per ISO13485) is followed within the production.
Institute continuous improvement culture to improve the quality of workmanship standards.
Lead continuous improvement projects such as Standard Work (SW) to improve on productivity, output, and quality.
Improve Feeder Cells SW on build sequence & WIP design to support MD Integration build plan.
Drive work area 5S & EHS.
Maintain and induct production equipment and tools calibration.
Lead the trainers to develop training programs to address job skills’ gaps in production associates.
Improve On-Job-Training Programs
Review build plan to make decision on resource deployment, inventory requirements, and work closely with Planner to meet the sale orders OTD
Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross functions to ensure optimal performance (Create Best Team Wins culture)
Induct new hire and conducts performance appraisal for employees and is responsible for making decision on termination, promotion, upgrading etc.
Comply and adhere to the regulatory and company quality and EHS requirements.
**Requirements**:
Min degree in any Engineering, Manufacturing, or any equivalent discipline.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experienced or equivalent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, power BI)
Language proficiency in English and Chinese (need to communicate with Chinese speaking associates)
Preferably with Lean Manufacturing experience in a low volume high mix environment.
Analytical thinker, proactive and flexibility in their approach to work.
Good Knowledge in Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
Experience in using Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
