About EDB
The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), a government agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, is responsible for strategies that enhance Singapore’s position as a global center for business, innovation, and talent. We undertake investment promotion and industry development, and work with international businesses, both foreign and local, by providing information, connection to partners and access to government incentives for their investments. About the Office for Space Technology & Industry
The Office for Space Technology & Industry (OSTIn) is Singapore’s national space office. To build up Singapore’s space ecosystem and advance Singapore’s space interests, OSTIn seeks to:
Nurture the build-up of local space technology capabilities through investments in R&D;
- Grow a globally competitive local space industry;
- Develop policies and regulations to support Singapore’s space activities;
- Expand bilateral and multilateral partnerships, and contribute to strengthening the international governance regime for space activities; and
- Support the development of talent for Singapore’s space sector and future workforce.
[What you will be working on]
In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Driving Singapore’s national space strategy and developing supporting strategies to align internal and external stakeholders in pursuing space strategy deliverables.- Conducting studies on global space developments and key space-related topics of interest to guide national space priorities and long-term planning.- Convening interagency working groups to update and seek input on space issues with relevant agencies.- Developing strategy and policy briefs to OSTIn and whole-of-government principals to apprise them on the direction and implications of current/future strategy and policies.- Managing corporate planning functions in alignment with strategy implementation, including finance budgeting, resource planning, and performance reporting.- Performing secretariat functions at OSTIn Board/EXCO and management meetings.
[What we are looking for]
To meet the challenges of this role, you must have:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in strategy, research, or corporate planning- A strong interest and passion in space technologies and their impact- Strong analytic and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesise complex information and translate it into actionable strategic insights- Confident in public speaking and able to facilitate discussions with stakeholders- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken, and experience working with diverse stakeholders- Self-motivated with a positive attitude, have excellent work ethic and a team player- Background in STEM is advantageous- Singaporean
